News Lorenzo Lamas Is Dracula for New Jersey's Premiere Stages Television star Lorenzo Lamas will star in Dracula for Premiere Stages at Kean University beginning Oct. 27.

The star of television's "Falcon Crest" and "The Bold and the Beautiful" will play the title role in Stephen Dietz's adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic. Dracula will be directed by Premiere Stages artistic director John Wooten.

In a statement, Wooten said, "This is not another musical or comic revival that pokes fun at history's darkest character. Our aim is to transport the audience to 19th century England for a heart-pounding ride that provides no escape from the 'undead.'"

Lamas was nominated for a Golden Globe for his work on the television series "Falcon Crest." His additional television credits include "The Immortal" and "Renegade." He has appeared in the films "Lethal," "Viper" and "Mask of Death."

Dracula will run through Nov. 3 at Kean University's Wilkins Theatre, located at 1000 Morris Avenue in Union, N.J.

In keeping with Dracula's bloody theme, those with valid blood donor cards may purchase two-for-one tickets to the production. Tickets are available by calling (908) 737-7469 or by visiting www.kean.edu/premierestages.
