Jan Oxenberg ("Kidnapped") penned the pilot for Bender Brown Productions. Guy Norman Bee directs. Oxenberg executive produces with Kevin Brown and Lawrence Bender. The new drama centers around a female homicide detective (Alison Elliott) who juggles family and career when she returns to her Long Island roots. Bracco will play the mother of Elliott's character. Jeffrey Pierce also appears.
Bracco, well known for her role in "The Sopranos," made her Broadway debut in The Graduate in 2002. She replaced original star Kathleen Turner in the role of Mrs. Robinson and subsequently reprised her work for the tour. She has also appeared onstage in Ariel Dorfman's Speak Truth To Power and in the Food for Thought reading series.
