News Lose Each Inhibition: La Cage aux Folles to Make "Today" Show Appearance Dec. 2 The guys and gals of Broadway's La Cage aux Folles get up earlier than usual Dec. 2 to perform the title number on NBC's "Today" show, between 8:30-9 AM (ET).

When calling the cast members "guys and gals," of course, you might have trouble telling who is who and what is what.

"You may be dancing with a girl who needs a shave," according to the Jerry Herman lyric that celebrates the St. Tropez nightspot billed as "slightly '40s and a little bit New Wave."

The featured act at La Cage is Zaza, played by Albin, played by Gary Beach. Daniel Davis plays Georges, Albin's partner of many years.

The Jerry Herman-Harvey Fierstein musical comedy based on the French play and film of the same name is currently in previews at the Marquis Theatre toward a Dec. 9 opening.
