Al Waxman, the Toronto actor who was the Lieutenant in "Cagney & Lacey," from it's inception with Loretta Switt and Tyne Daley, filmed in Toronto, through to the hit TV series with Tyne Daley and Sharon Gless, has been signed to direct Lost in Yonkers for Toronto's Atlantis Theatre. The theatre, in the Ontario Place complex has been the home of Forbidden Hollywood, but as of Feb 4, 1997, Neil Simon's play will take the stage. Waxman has been busy directing other shows recently. His credits include Sight Unseen and A Shayna Maidel at the Ford Centre for the Performing Arts. He says that 'Lost in Yonkers' is about a dysfunctional family, to which all of us can relate.
