In 2008 the school's lecturer in musicology, Dr. Dominic McHugh, discovered numerous songs and material cut from the musical, forgotten in an uncatalogued collection at the Library of Congress.

McHugh presents the concert, which features a selection of these musical numbers, performed for the first time with a full orchestra conducted by Matthew Malone.

McHugh is also the author of "Loverly: The Life and Times of My Fair Lady," which chronicles the history and legacy of the iconic show.

The 1956 musical features a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. It tells the tale of English professor Henry Higgins, originally played by Rex Harrison on Broadway, who makes a bet that he can transform cockney girl Eliza Doolitle (Julie Andrews) into a lady. The story was based on George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion and was later adapted into an Academy Award-winning musical film. My Fair Lady has been revived on Broadway three times.
