News Love, NY Concert Will Now Play New World Stages; D'Abruzzo to Host Composer/lyricist Robert Rokicki and librettist/lyricist Michael Ruby's pop-rock musical Love, NY, which had been scheduled to play the recently closed Zipper Factory, will now be presented at New World Stages Jan. 26.

The 8 PM concert will boast the talents of the previously announced Randy Aaron, Kevin Massey, Brynn O'Malley, Vanessa Ray, Krysta Rodriguez and Nick Spangler. Francis Kelly directs.

Newcomers to the evening include Avenue Q Tony nominee Stephanie D'Abruzzo, who will perform and host, and Wicked's Alex Brightman, who will also be part of the company.

"Part love letter, part 'dear john' letter to the city we love to hate," Love, NY, according to press notes, "tells the story of five 20-somethings fighting to find their way in the Big Apple, figuring out if what they want in life is what they truly need – all while struggling not to get lost in a sea of 9 million people.

The evening, which will feature the entire score as well as selections of the show's comic libretto, will be music-directed by John Prestianni, who will lead a four-piece band. Alix Claps stage manages.
