Boston playwright Dalyn A. Miller's Aircraft is landing; the world premiere of his drama Low Flying Aircraft and One or Two Other Bodies runs Feb. 18-March 4 at the Boston Playwrights Theatre. Opening night is set for Feb. 21. Boston Theatre Works artistic director Jason Southerland directs and produces this first world premiere for the company.
Low Flying Aircraft is about bodies ravaged by disease, in this case, cancer and AIDS. Joan, a post-operative transsexual, struggles for acceptance from her conservative family even as she's dying of cancer. Meanwhile, her younger brother, Oliver, is losing his battle with AIDS.
Chloe Keller plays Joan with Forrest Walter as Oliver. Mary Driscoll and Bob Dolan are their mother and father.
Tickets are $20. Boston Playwrights Theatre is located at 949 Commonwealth Avenue on the Boston University Campus. For reservations, call (617) 728-4321 or e-mail [email protected].
