Director-choreographer Warren Carlyle (Broadway's A Tale of Two Cities) helms the presentation. Todd Ellison is musical director. Lucky Guy is billed as a musical comedy fable "set amidst the colorful world of the dreamers and schemers of Nashville — where the only thing bigger than the hits are the hairdos."

The crowd-pleaser previously played several regional theatres, including two separate summer engagements at the Flat Rock Playhouse, the State Theatre of North Carolina, and at other resident theatres. The new reading represents refinements to script and score. The show is an original story, not based on source material.

Kim Vernace is the stage manager. The cast also features Robert H. Fowler, James Gray, Gavin Lodge and Will Taylor.

The Manhattan presentations are at 11 AM and 3 PM Jan. 16 at New World Stages, 340 W. 50th Street, between Eighth and Ninth Ave.
