Adam Shankman ("Hairspray") will direct the benefit evening that will celebrate songs that have united the stage and screen for decades. The Hollywood Bowl's John Mauceri will conduct a live orchestra for the 90-minute concert that will begin at 8 PM on the 20th Century Fox lot in Los Angeles.
In addition to LuPone, MacLaine, Mitchell and Tveit, the evening will feature performances by John Barrowman, Christine Ebersole, Hector Elizondo, Joel Grey, Cheyenne Jackson, Melina Kanakaredes, James Marsden, Kelli O'Hara, Lea Salonga, Leslie Uggams and Kristen Bell.
Additional performers will be added shortly, according to a representative for MPTV. Catherine Zeta-Jones, who is the founding host, will not be in attendance due to her schedule with the Broadway production of A Little Night Music.
