Presented by Barefoot Theatre Company, performances will continue through May 19.

Ronald Cohen directs a company that also features Stephanie Roth Haberle, Aidan Koehler, Mike Shapiro and Christopher Whalen.

Eavesdropping, according to press notes, concerns "three generations of women in one family and their struggles with coming to terms with the aftermath of the Holocaust. Shaina Eberkohn, a 25 year-old medical student, searches for clues about her family's lost history. Her mother, who is paralyzed by her own demons, adamantly opposes Shaina's obsession. And Shaina's grandmother, a survivor of the Lodz ghetto and Auschwitz, refuses to help. All three women are caught in a spider's web comprised of vague memories, distant emotions and nightmarish dreams. As they struggle to make sense of it all, they uncover a harrowing secret that unlocks their mysterious past."

The design team comprises Niluka Hotaling (set design), Eric Nightengale (lighting design), Victoria Malvagno (costume design), Adam Stone (sound design), Adam Dalton (graphic design) and Matthew Lutz (production stage manager).

Lynn Cohen is probably best known for her role as Magda in HBO's "Sex and the City"; other film and TV roles include Golda Meir in Steven Spielberg's "Munich" and Maman in Louis Malle's "Vanya on 42nd Street." Cohen's stage credits include Tina Howe's Chasing Manet (with Jane Alexander), Hamlet (with Kevin Kline), Macbeth (with Liev Schreiber), Orpheus Descending (with Vanessa Redgrave) and Israel Horovitz‘s New Shorts with Barefoot Theatre Company. The Cherry Lane Studio Theatre is located at 38 Commerce Street. Tickets are $35; $25 for students/seniors (with valid ID), and can be purchased by calling (212) 352-3101 or online at
