News Lyons Star Linda Lavin Will Perform Concerts in San Francisco and Wilmington Prior to returning to Broadway in Nicky Silver's The Lyons -- previews begin April 5 at the Cort Theatre -- Tony-winning actress Linda Lavin will perform in concert in San Francisco and Wilmington.

Lavin will join the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra March 17 at 8 PM at Kenan Auditorium (601 S. College Rd.) in Wilmington, NC. She will perform with the 60-piece orchestra, along with her band, which includes Bucky Pizzarelli (guitar), John Brown (bass), Steve Bakunis (drums), musical director Billy Stritch (piano) and singer Jim Caruso.

On March 21 at 8 PM Lavin will play San Francisco's Rrazz Room. The evening, a benefit for St. Jude Hospital, will also feature Freda Payne, Mary Wilson, Sharon McKnight, Cece Peniston, Pia Zadora, Natalie Douglas, Billy Stritch and Will and Anthony Nunziata.

At both concerts Lavin will perform selections from her first-ever CD "Possibilities," which includes such tunes as "It Might As Well be Spring," "You've Got Possibilities," "Two for the Road" and "Small Hotel." The recording is available from Sh-k-boom Records.

Linda Lavin won her Tony for her performance in Neil Simon's Broadway Bound and earned Tony nominations for Collected Stories, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, The Diary of Anne Frank and The Last of the Red Hot Lovers.
