News Lyricist Knighton Celebrated w/ Sam’s Storybook Cabaret, April 27, May 4, 11, 18 Lyricist Nan Knighton, most recently represented on Broadway with the lyrics and book to The Scarlet Pimpernel and the book to Saturday Night Fever, is the toast of four Thursday evening cabarets entitled Storybook: The Lyrics of Nan Knighton at Sam's Restaurant's Dream Street Cabaret. Dates are April 27, May 4, 11 and 18.

Lyricist Nan Knighton, most recently represented on Broadway with the lyrics and book to The Scarlet Pimpernel and the book to Saturday Night Fever, is the toast of four Thursday evening cabarets entitled Storybook: The Lyrics of Nan Knighton at Sam's Restaurant's Dream Street Cabaret. Dates are April 27, May 4, 11 and 18.

Tony nominated in 1998 for the book to The Scarlet Pimpernel, Knighton has worked with several Broadway and Off-Broadway composers, including Jonathan Larson (Rent), Robert Lindsey Nassif (Eliot Ness in Cleveland) and Howard Marren (Paramour) as well as Frank Wildhorn (Pimpernel, Jekyll & Hyde). The Storybook evening will feature never-before-heard numbers and her best-loved words from Pimpernel.

Casts will rotate through the various evenings. Stephen Kaplan is production supervisor. The performer listings follow:

April 27: Farah Alvin (Saturday Night Fever), MAC winner Tom Andersen, Bryan Batt (Fever, Pimpernel), Robert Evan (Jekyll & Hyde), Brad Oscar, Kate Shindle (Jekyll & Hyde), Marc Kudisch (Wild Party, Pimpernel), Paige Price (Fever), Anne Runolfsson (The Dead) and Chris Sieber (Triumph of Love).

May 4: Alvin, Batt, Carolee Carmello (Parade, Pimpernel), Gilles Chiasson (The Civil War, Pimpernel), Dee Hoty (Footloose, Will Rogers Follies), Kudisch, Kevyn Morrow (Pimpernel), Oscar, Price, Shindle. May 11: Alvin, James Carpinello (Fever), Hoty, Alix Korey (The Wild Party), Frank Mastrone (Fever), Morrow, Nancy Opel (Triumph of Love), Oscar, Price, Runolfsson, Shindle

Ken Lundie is the musical director with Dale Badway as the evening's host.

Tickets are $12 with a $10 food and drink minimum. Portions of the proceeds will be donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Sam's Restaurant is located at 263 West 45th Street. For reservations, call (212) 719-5416.
