News   Mabou Mines' Celtic-Inspired Finn to Premiere at Skirball Center
Acclaimed experimental theatre company Mabou Mines will stage the world premiere of Finn, a multimedia work based on the ancient Celtic legend of Finn McCool, March 4-7 at the Skirball Center in Manhattan.

Sharon Fogarty will direct the production, which fuses traditional storytelling with video game technology.

Finn is a collaboration between Irish writer Jocelyn Clarke, Czech digital artists Misha Zabranska and Misha Votruba (Misha Films), and traditional Scottish composer Phil Cunningham with Irish composer Manus Lunny.

Robbie Collier Sublett will star in the title role, with fellow cast members Jarlath Conroy, Carlton Byrd and Dion Mucciacito.

Finn, according to press notes, "follows a boy's coming-of-age quest to avenge his father's death and seize leadership of the clan. Through his journey, he encounters a series of trials testing his moral fortitude."

The production will have set design by Milan David, costume design by Meganne George, lighting design by Mary Louise Geiger and sound design by John Plenge. Visit SkirballCenter, or phone (212) 352-3101. The Skirball Center is located at 566 LaGuardia Place at Washington Square South.
