Banquo and a banquet are yours for the taking at a special performance of Macbeth by Off-Broadway's New Perspectives Theatre Company on Nov. 13, when a medieval banquet will be served to audience members during the course of the play. The play cum banquet will take place at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine in NY.

New Perspectives, a multiracial collective that attempts to "break down the fourth wall" and bring the audience into the world of the play, is known for its innovative productions including a sold-out Richard III with Austin Pendleton earlier this year.

The role of Macbeth will be played by Joseph Roderiquez, who was Clarence in the company's Richard III. The director is Melody Brooks, artistic director of New Perspectives.

The three-course meal will be created by Vibeke Fazakerley, the founder of the historical catering firm Primary Sauces in North London, England. Her sourcebooks for this particular meal include a 12th century Danish translation of the oldest known European cooking document; the first course will consist of Rostyd Beef, Buttered Wortys, Fysshe Hattes and Brede.

The performance/meal is Nov. 13 at 7 PM at Synod Hall in The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Amsterdam Ave. & 112th St. Banquet tickets to the play are $150, choir stall seats (sans meal) are $25. For tickets, call (212) 730-2030. -- By Rebecca Paller
