News Macbeth Fan Night, Featuring Reception With Alan Cumming, Will Be Held July 9 Alan Cumming's one-man adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth will host an exclusive event in honor of the show's fans July 9.

Macbeth Fan Night includes a VIP Orchestra ticket to the 7 PM performance at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre and a post-show celebration and complimentary wine reception with Cumming at the Paramount Bar & Grill.

Additionally, guests at Macbeth Fan Night will receive one of the 79 hospital patient wristbands that Cumming wore during a performance of Macbeth

Directed by John Tiffany (Black Watch, Once) and Andrew Goldberg, Macbeth opened on Broadway April 21, following previews that began April 7.

Set in a mental ward, the show features Cumming performing more than 15 roles.

Cumming previously performed the play at the Lincoln Center Festival in 2012. It first premiered in Glasgow June 14-30, 2012.  Tiffany previously directed Cumming (Cabaret, The Seagull) in The Bacchae, which was seen at the Lincoln Center Festival in 2008. Cumming, who made his stage debut as Malcolm in the Michael Boyd production of Macbeth in Glasgow, has also performed in Cabaret, for which he received the Tony Award for Best Actor, Threepenny Opera and Design for Living.

The cast of Macbeth also features Jenny Sterlin and Brendan Titley. The show features scenic and costume design by Merle Hensel, lighting design by Natasha Chivers, sound design by Fergus O'Hare and video projection design by Ian William Galloway, voice by Ros Steen, movement by Christine Devaney and music by Max Richter.
