The "visceral and visually breath-taking retelling of the classic tale about an ambitious Scottish lord who seizes the throne with the help of his wife" was directed by Justin Kurzel. It's scheduled to make its U.S. premiere at the Chicago International Film Festival Oct. 25.

The queer-themed short plays will be made available for free to non-profit theatres, schools, and community organizations to support fundraising for LGBTQIA+ groups.
The tour will launch at the New Wimbledon Theatre in June.
After years of camaraderie, the two friends are finally opposite each other in Broadway's longest-running musical.
The biomusical following the life of the artist and exiled aristocrat comes to Broadway from Williamstown Theatre Festival and La Jolla Playhouse.
The production previously enjoyed a Leicester run in 2021.
Directed and choreographed by Matthew Bourne, the production will play the Chichester Festival Theatre before arriving in the West End.
Original cast members Sigourney Weaver, David Hyde Pierce, Kristine Nielsen, and more will reunite for the one-night-only event.
The Tony-winning musical opened April 17, 2019.
The Off-Broadway premiere officially opened April 16.
