The Magic of Disney on Broadway
Jan. 19: Discover how Broadway actors lend life and personality to the magical creatures one experiences on the stage, including the statues from Mary Poppins, the animals of the Savannah from The Lion King and the electric eels from The Little Mermaid.

"The Magic of Disney on Broadway" debuts at 7 PM ET Monday, Jan. 19 with repeats scheduled for (all times ET) 3 PM Tuesday, Jan. 20; 10 PM Friday, Jan. 23; 2 PM Saturday, Jan. 24.

Center Stage
Jan. 20: A special edited rebroadcast of a New York Times Arts & Leisure Weekend conversation with folks from the forthcoming Broadway revival of Hair. As moderated by Times theatre reporter Patrick Healy, the conversation includes Hair composer Galt MacDermot, Public Theatre Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, and actor Gavin Creel, who plays Claude in the revival. Creel sings a number from the show, with MacDermot at the piano.

Each week's new "Center Stage" show debuts at 7 PM ET Tuesday, with repeats scheduled for (all times ET) 2 AM Wednesday, Jan. 21; 11 PM Wednesday, Jan. 21; 2 PM Thursday, Jan. 22; 11 AM Saturday, Jan. 24; 4 PM Sunday, Jan. 25. Edited versions of the "Center Stage" programs are available as podcasts.

Composer Spotlight
Jan. 22: Playbill Radio takes listeners on a tour through the brief but busy career of composer Jonathan Larson, who wrote a half-dozen musical projects before his untimely death 12 years ago, and the subsequent blockbuster success of his last project, Rent. We play rare recordings from his Superbia, Boho Days, Away We Go! and tick…tick…BOOM!
