Rebecca Gatward's production of Bryony Lavery's dramatization of Angela Carter's The Magic Toyshop will have a short excursion to the Soho Theatre between Jan. 16 and Feb. 19, 2002, with a press night on Jan. 17.
The Magic Toyshop is a characteristic Carter story - dark, imaginative and exciting. Bryony Lavery's other adaptation of an Angela Carter work was a Radio 4 production of Carter's novel Wise Children.
Ticket sales have been brisk for the show, which a box office spokesperson said, Jan. 15, was already "pretty booked up."
