Directed by Will Pomerantz, the cast — according to the Epic website — will feature Tony winner Michele Pawk, Roxanna Hope, Arian Moayed and Epic co-founder James Wallert. Mahida's Extra Key to Heaven, according to press notes, "is a poetic and haunting love story about crossing human and political borders in this time of unyielding violence. It begins when a young American painter visiting his mother on an island in the Northwest encounters a frightened Iranian college student abandoned by her brother and waiting alone for a ferry that will never come. It ends in a way that is horrific, beautiful, and unforgettable."
