Off-Broadway News Maia Novi's Invasive Species to Return Off-Broadway This Summer

Pulitzer Prize finalist Michael Breslin will once again direct the limited-run production.

Maia Novi's Invasive Species will return off Broadway one year following its world premiere at The Tank. The limited engagement will this time play The Vineyard’s Dimson Theater, running May 7-June 30. An official opening night is slated for May 15.

Pulitzer Prize finalist Michael Breslin will once again direct the work, which was written as a response to debates around mental health policies on campus at Yale. It follows the mental journey of a Latine acting student navigating the American entertainment industry as an immigrant artist.

The cast will include Maia Novi, Raffi Donatich, Sam Gonzalez, Alexandra Maurice, and Julian Sanchez.

Jeremy O. Harris executive is producing the return through his company with Josh Godfrey, bb2. Invasive Species is produced by Folk Productions, Danielle Perelman, and Arterial Projects. Amauta Marston-Firmino serves as an additional producer, with associate producers David Thomas Tao & Benjamin Nelson, and co producers Vaughn Feighan & Chase Landow, Tira Harpaz, Brandon Sanchez, and Rachel Weiss.
