Classic Arts News Mail Problem Leaves San Francisco Ballet Subscribers Without Tickets Some San Francisco Ballet subscribers did not receive their tickets before the company's spring repertory season opened last week, the company said on its web site.
The fault lay with the company that had been contracted to mail the tickets, which sent them later than expected and compounded the problem by mailing them third class instead of first class.

In order to ensure that all subscribers have their tickets in time, the company has reprinted all of the tickets for its season-opening production of Swan Lake, which opened January 28 and runs through February 4, and expanded box office hours to allow subscribers to pick up the replacements.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the problem affected the company's opening-night gala on January 25 as well.
