Mama’s Next Big Act will return to the theatre district nightspot Don’t Tell Mama beginning June 7. The live performance competition, which mixes genres and styles, is set to run for 11 weeks.
Voted by the audience and a panel of judges, the contest is open to solo, duo and group acts in the following categories: music, drag, burlesque and variety. Contestants must be over 18.
The contest will run through August 30 with the winner set to receive a $1,500 stipend towards a new show at Don’t Tell Mama to be presented in 2017.
