The St. Louis, MO, venue will feature two Muny premieres and the return of The Wizard of Oz.
The seven shows are The Wizard of Oz (June 13-22, 2016), 42nd Street (June 24-30), The Music Man (July 5–11), Young Frankenstein (July 13–19), Mamma Mia! (July 21–28), Fiddler on the Roof (July 30-Aug. 5) and Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida (Aug. 8–14.)
"For my fifth season, these may be the seven biggest, most demanding productions yet," stated Muny artistic director and executive producer Mike Isaacson. "While they are an incredible variety and style, they are all robust, bold and, hopefully for our audience, absolutely thrilling. It promises to be another great adventure of a season."
"This is an incredibly exciting season for us to produce," said Muny president and CEO Denny Reagan in a statement. "It is packed with the most requested and beloved titles by the Muny audience. Mike and our creative teams continued to put world class work on our stage last season, and our audiences showed tremendous support for our productions. With these seven titles, 2016 promises another fantastic season at The Muny."
Season ticket holders will receive their renewal notices the first week of December. New season tickets will be available beginning March 5, 2016, at the Muny box office. For more information, visit muny.org or call (314) 361-1900.
