A man fell to his death at the Marriott Marquis hotel in the theatre district June 15, according to NBC New York.
The 28-year-old fell down an elevator shaft from the eighth floor to below street-level shortly before 4 P.M. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
A police investigation is underway at the hotel, which contains Marquis Theatre.
Directed and choreographed by Justin Peck, the show previously played an Off-Broadway premiere at Park Avenue Armory.
Whitney White is directing the Off-Broadway production.

The play by Amy Herzog officially opened April 23 on Broadway.
