News Man of La Mancha Turns 50! Ramin Karimloo, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Jennifer Hudson and More Belt Out "The Impossible Dream" Fifty years ago today, Man of La Mancha opened at the ANTA Washington Square Theatre with Richard Kiley and Joan Diener as Don Quixote and Dulcinea, and went on to win five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and run 2,328 performances. To mark the day, Playbill.com has gathered versions of the show's iconic anthem "The Impossible Dream (The Quest)," as sung by the likes of Ramin Karimloo, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Elvis Presley, Jennifer Hudson and others.
