The limited engagement, which continues through Dec. 31 at the Abrons Arts Center, features direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Susan Stroman and music direction by Paul Ford.

"Following a flood of biblical proportions, the last two people on the planet discover their common language is song and dance," press notes state. "Together they chronicle the rise and fall and hopeful rise again of humankind through music that runs the gamut from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Sondheim, R.E.M. and Queen."

"Homeland" star Patinkin has performed in Evita, Sunday in the Park With George, The Secret Garden and The Wild Party. His film work includes "The Princess Bride," "Yentl" and "Dick Tracy."

Mac is a playwright, actor, singer-songwriter, cabaret performer, performance artist and sometime director and producer. His full-length plays include The Fre, Hir, The Walk Across America For Mother Earth and The Young Ladies Of.

The Last Two People On Earth: An Apocalyptic Vaudeville has set design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Ken Billington and sound design by Daniel J. Gerhard.
