News Mandy Patinkin, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Richard Thomas Set for Public Theater Talks The Public Theater will continue its Public Forum Series with chats in the coming weeks with director Richard Foreman and Emmy Award-winning actor Richard Thomas.

On Jan. 19 at 7 PM, the Public will welcome Foreman, whose avante-garde work was last seen at the downtown venue in 2009 with Idiot Savant. Jeremy McCarter will curate "Your Foreman Fix: An Evening With Richard Foreman," which will delve into the director's upcoming projects for stage and film.

"Too Rich To Fail: A Town Hall Meeting on Americans and Their Money" on Feb. 28 will feature Thomas, who will star in the newly announced Public LAB Shakespeare production of Timon of Athens beginning Feb. 15.

In a separate vein, the Public has also announced a Jan. 20 event at Joe's Pub, which will feature Public artistic director Oskar Eustis interviewing Lapham’s Quarterly editor Lewis Lapham.

The 7 PM event will center on the Winter 2011 issue "Celebrity" and will include readings by Philip Seymour Hoffman, Alec Baldwin, Linda Emond, Taylor Mac and Mandy Patinkin.

Patinkin and Mac are set to perform "Unworthy of Your Love" from Stephen Sondheim's Assassins, while others will read excerpts from Charles Lindbergh, Lillie Langtry, John Hinckley, Billy Wilder, Andy Warhol, John Adams and tales from the "Thousand and One Nights."
