PlayBlog Manolo Blahnik Unveils Priscilla Shoe (Photos) Shoe designer Manolo Blahnik has caught Broadway fever for the first time, unveiling a stiletto inspired by the Australian outback/drag queen musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert just as the show is beginning previews at Broadway's Palace Theatre.

The shoe, a silver patent leather Mary Jane high heel featuring a Swarovski crystal button, is the first Manolo footwear to be based on a Broadway musical. Proceeds from the sales of the shoe and a companion Manolo silver necklace featuring a high heel charm will go to New York Restoration project, the green-ifying charity founded by Priscilla producer Bette Midler.

Midler said in a statement, “If there are three things I love it is shoes, drag queens and live theatre! I am so thrilled that Manolo Blahnik and Priscilla have come together to benefit a cause near and dear to my heart, the New York Restoration Project. Go out and buy these shoes! You will look fabulous and help green and clean New York City one block at a time!”

The stiletto will be available at the Manolo Blahnik flagship store at 31 West 54th Street. The necklace will be sold at the Palace Theatre.
