Delphinium Card Store on West 47th St. in NY will hold a raffle Mar. 31 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The prize is "The Princess Beanie Baby," a violet teddy bear with a white rose embroidered on its chest. This special edition Beanie Baby has been created to honor the memory of Diana, Princess of Wales. One-of-a-kind Beanie Babies are valued at $200-$1000.
Bears have become a recurring motif at BC/EFA benefit events. In February, the organization netted $124,000 from an auction of 40 one-of-a-kind bears decked out as famous theatre performers.
