Actress and cabaret star Andrea Marcovicci performs show tunes and pop standards Feb. 21 and 22 as part of the "Singers and Songwriters" series at CenterStage in San Rafael, CA. Marcovicci, hailed as one of the foremost cabaret performers of our day, made her Broadway debut with Howard Keel in Ambassador, performed Ophelia in Hamlet for Shakespeare in the Park and has appeared in numerous productions at the American Conservatory Theatre. Her films include The Front, in which she played Woody Allen's girlfriend. In addition, she played the title role in the ill-fated 1977 David Spangler-Christopher Gore musical, Nefertiti, which closed in its pre-Broadway tryout in Chicago.
"Singers and Songwriters" performances are Feb. 21 at 8 PM and Feb. 22 at 5 PM at the Hoytt Theatre, 200 North San Pedro Rd., San Rafael. For tickets, $22, call (415) 479-2000.
