The 9:30 PM appearance at the venue in The Public Theater marks her New York nightclub debut. Known for "St. Elmo's Fire" and "Georgia," in which she played a legendary folk singer, Winningham and her music have been compared to Alison Kraus and Emmylou Harris. She has appeared on stage, screen, and in over 60 movies for television.
As a singer and musician, Winningham has also toured across the country. Her other albums include "What Might Be" (1992) and "Lonesomers" (1998).
