Sam Gold (Seminar, Soho Rep's Uncle Vanya) will stage the 8 PM reading of the tragedy, which features Tony nominee Dizzia (Uncle Vanya, Eurydice, In the Next Room), Camp (Death of a Salesman, Coram Boy) and Chernus (Close Up Space, In the Wake).
The 92nd Street Y characterizes the reading this way: "'Why does tragedy exist?' Anne Carson asked in 'Tragedy: A Curious Art Form.' 'Because you are full of rage. Why are you full of rage? Because you are full of grief.' Carson returns to 92Y's Poetry Center to introduce a staged reading of her new translation of Sophocles' famous tragedy."
