News Maria Friedman Goes Solo at London Menier Three-time Olivier Award winner Maria Friedman is to premiere a new solo show at London's Menier Chocolate Factory.

Maria Friedman: Re-arranged will officially open at the south London venue on March 27 following previews beginning March. 19. Accompanied by an 11-piece band, Friedman will perform newly arranged songs by Stephen Sondheim, Jacques Brel, Burt Bacharach, Jason Robert Brown, Andrew Lippa, George Gershwin, Kander and Ebb, Randy Newman, Michel Legrand and Stevie Wonder.

Friedman's first solo show, By Special Arrangement, won its star a 1995 Best Entertainment Olivier Award. Her later Oliviers were for Passion in 1997 and Ragtime in 2004.

Her other stage credits include The Woman in White, Chicago, Sunday in the Park With George and the recent Royal Festival Hall concert version of Sweeney Todd. She has also played three concert seasons at New York's Café Carlyle.
