The program, which begins at 7 PM, includes the world premiere of music director Gary S. Fagin's "Cantata for Huddled Masses," an original setting of Lazarus' "The New Colossus" for orchestra and soprano, along with pieces that influenced Lazarus or were inspired by her.

Audiences can expect Felix Mendelssohn's "String Symphony No. 5 in Bb," Robert Schumann's "Four Movements from Waldszenen" (with readings from Lazarus' "Scenes in the Wood"), Aaron Copland's "Letter from Home" (with a reading of a letter from Ralph Waldo Emerson to Lazarus) and Gustav Mahler's "Adagietto from Symphony No. 5."

Mazzie, who most recently starred in the Off-Broadway production of Carrie, is a three-time Tony Award nominee for her performances in Ragtime, Passion and Kiss Me, Kate. She has also been seen on Broadway in Enron, Next to Normal, Spamalot, Man of La Mancha and Into the Woods, among others.
