The drama will be written, directed and executive-produced by "Sex and the City" executive producer Michael Patrick King.
It will star Don Johnson as a 50-something Beverly Hills hairdresser trying to maintain his relevancy in the increasingly looks-obsessed world around him. Taylor Kinney, Kelly Hu, Sandra Vergara, Caitlin Crosby, Amanda Warren and J.R. Bourne will also be part of the cast.
Cantone, who made semi-regular appearances as Anthony Marantino in the "Sex and the City" series and both movie spin-offs, has appeared onstage in Laugh Whore, Assassins, The Violet Hour, Love! Valour! Compassion!, The Tempest, The Taming of the Shrew, June Moon and The Crumple Zone.
King will co-executive produce the pilot with his former "Sex and the City" partner John Melfi.
