Starting out as Sam, the stressed out-of-work actor-cum-reservations clerk at the city's hottest four-star restaurant, Setlock portrays not only the eatery's staff but a series of outrageous guests clamoring for a table. These patrons run the gamut from killer Mafiosi and rich old ladies to supermodels and Wall Street tycoons.

Acting Fully Committed is no stretch for Setlock — his real-life experiences as an out-of-work actor desperately trying to find tables for a series of wealthy and outlandish patrons at a trendy Manhattan restaurant were the basis for Mode's play. Her other credits include writing for TV's "Cosby," HBO, Nickelodeon and Disney.

As well as appearing in the workshop production of Rent, Setlock understudied the lead role of Angel with the original Broadway company, later returning to the show in the ensemble as Gordon, Mr. Grey and others. Other credits include stints at Primary Stages, HERE, NADA and Ontological/Hysteric, but his real success came with Committed, netting him an Outer Critics' Circle Award in a tie with Olympia Dukakis.

Director Martin was recently named artistic director of the Huntington Theatre in Boston, a role he assumed in fall 2000. He won the 1999 Obie Award for Christopher Durang's Betty's Summer Vacation and also directed Bosoms and Neglect at the Signature and Full Gallop. Fully Committed first opened Off Broadway Sept. 30, 1999 with fully-committed reviews, extending, at the time, through Oct. 30 at the Vineyard. The show then moved to the Cherry Lane Theatre, where it continues to run with Roger Bart in the role. Setlock, after leaving the New York show, took it to Los Angeles' Coronet Theatre Sept. 12-Nov. 19.

Tickets in Boston are $55-$25. The Wilbur Theatre is located at 246 Tremont Street. For reservations, call (617) 931-2787. Fully Committed is on the web at www.FullyCommitted.com.
