News Mark Your Calendar: The 2007 Tony Awards Are Set for June 10 The 61st Annual Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards — saluting the best of the Broadway theatre season — will be presented June 10, 2007.

Nominations for the 2007 Tony Awards, according to Variety, will be announced May 15, 2007. The cut-off date for eligibility for the 2006-2007 theatre season is May 9. As previously reported, Tony Honors for Excellence in Theatre will be awarded Oct. 24 at Tavern on the Green. The Tony Honors, according to a press statement, "recognize contributions to the field of theatre for individuals and organizations that are not eligible in any of the established Tony categories." This year's honorees include the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, Forbidden Broadway and its creator Gerard Alessandrini, Samuel (Biff) Liff and Ellen Stewart.
