Broadway's Marlene is back in town, this time as herself, Sian Phillips, and singing a different set of standards in her New York cabaret debut, Falling in Love Again. Phillips will sing Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, June 7-23, at the Firebird Cafe. Phillips was a Tony and Olivier Award nominee for Marlene, the Pam Gems bioplay whose musical requirements were such that she was nominated for Best Actress in a Musical. Phillips also appeared on Broadway as Mrs. Birling in An Inspector Calls. Among her numerous English credits are A Little Night Music (Olivier nomination) , A Lion in Winter , Man and Superman and Night of the Iguana.
