News Married Thesps Gerroll and Kalember Play Chekhov and Wife at MTC, March 17 Actors Daniel Gerroll and Patricia Kalember, who are married in real life, will play another theatrical couple—playwright Anton Chekhov and actress Olga Knipper—in a reading at Manhattan Theatre Club 8 PM March 17.

The evening, titled "I Take Your Hand In Hand," is part of MTC's 33rd annual "Writers in Performance" literary series. The piece, constructed by Carol Rocamora, is drawn from hundreds of letters between Chekhov and Knipper, who created several roles in the Russian naturalist's plays. Gerroll is currently rehearsing Enchanted April, which will bow on Broadway this April. Kalember has acted in such plays as The Nerd and Y2K. The two have performed together at the Bay Street Theatre in Blithe Spirit and Accomplice.
