The nonprofit Denver Center Theatre Company's Picasso at the Lapin Agile was such a hit in October 1998 that Denver Center Attractions decided to pick the show up for summer 1999, but slow ticket sales for the non-subscription return have doomed the five week run. The June 25-Aug. 1 remount of the fantastical comedy about the meeting of the young Picasso and Einstein, at the Stage Theatre, has been canceled.

Denver Center Attractions is the presenter of national tours at Denver Center for the Performing Arts, where the resident nonprofit company, Denver Center Theatre Company, also makes its home.
