News Mary Poppins' Ashley Brown Leads Broadway Workshop March 8 Broadway's Mary Poppins, Ashley Brown, will team up with the Broadway Workshop to lead a one-day master class for young performers March 8.

Brown joins Broadway Workshop director Marc Tumminelli to lead students ages 9-14 through song interpretation, vocal coaching, scene work, dance combinations and musical theatre audition technique.

The one-day master class will be held at Ripley Grier Studios from 10 AM–2 PM on March 8. The master class is selling quickly, but a waiting list will be in effect.

A Laurie Beechman Award winner, Brown is a graduate of the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music's musical theatre program. She has previously played Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast on Broadway and starred in the national tour of Disney's On the Record. On Feb. 9, Brown will return to her hometown of Pensacola, FL to perform a solo concert with the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra.

Among the artists who have previously taken part in the Broadway Workshop are Legally Blonde's Laura Bell Bundy, Leslie Kritzer (Catered Affair, Legally Blonde), Jessica Bogart (Oklahoma, A Funny Thing Happened…), Kaitlin Hopkins (How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Noises Off), James Donegan (Forbidden Broadway) and Stephanie Johnston.
