News MA's StageWest Runs With Dulack's Legs, Feb. 13-March 8 The theatrical catch-phrase "break a leg" takes on a whole new meaning in Tom Dulack's well-known hit, Breaking Legs. The comedy tells of a playwright and college professor who's thrilled when a former student's dad, a restaurateur, wants to invest in a production of his play. Then he learns that dad and his friends' are in a very different business from capons and cannolis.

The theatrical catch-phrase "break a leg" takes on a whole new meaning in Tom Dulack's well-known hit, Breaking Legs. The comedy tells of a playwright and college professor who's thrilled when a former student's dad, a restaurateur, wants to invest in a production of his play. Then he learns that dad and his friends' are in a very different business from capons and cannolis.

Philip Bosco and Larry Storch starred in the show when it ran Off Broadway at the Promenade Theatre. In a current mounting at StageWest in Springfield, MA, Tim Barrett, Jesse Doran, Ray Iannicelli, Michael Patterson, Marisa Redanty and Bill Verderber. Designing the show are Judy Gailen (set), Brian Aldous (lighting), Scott Nason (sound) and Polly J. Byers (costumes).

Greg Leaming, director of artistic programming at CT's Long Wharf Theatre, stages Breaking Legs, which began previews Feb. 11, opens Feb. 13 and runs to March 8.
