Powers told Playbill.com the couple opened their Real Good Thing concert at the famed jazz venue with the standard "The Best Is Yet to Come." As the singing actress took the stage, "I rubbed my belly and winked to the audience. The place erupted, which was really sweet."

Powers, whose Broadway credits include Little Women and Grease, added, "It's wild to be out in the open about it. It was so liberating to bare the baby bump!... Today I am four-and-a-half months [pregnant]. I'm halfway there!" The actress said she is due any time between July 18-25.

"We didn't plan this," Dangerous Beauty star Powers explained. "Being in this business, there's never a right time because we're so body dependent....[but when we realized a baby was on its way], we weren't freaking out.... We laughed and asked, 'Is this really what's in store for us in 2012?'"

Powers, who had to pass up a role in an upcoming Broadway play, said she was moved by her husband's recent reaction when he noticed her changed body during a concert rehearsal. "He said, 'Oh my God, I can see it now. That's my baby!!'"

Powers, who recently filmed a guest spot on the CBS hit "The Good Wife," added, "We're really excited. We're due in July, and we've decided not to find out the sex. We're going to be really old-fashioned about it." ***

Jenny Powers has been seen on Broadway in Little Women and as Rizzo in the most recent revival of Grease. She also appeared in the City Center Encores! performances of Of Thee I Sing and Follies. For Powers' theatre recordings, click here.
