Directed by Ryan J. Davis, the cast will feature Matt Doyle (Spring Awakening, Bye Bye Birdie), Tate Ellington (The Philanthropist), Eric Nelson (13), Mitch Dean (Altar Boyz), Blake Daniel (Spring Awakening), Matt Steiner (The Acting Company's Jane Eyre), Wayne Wilcox (Coram Boy) and Christian Coulson ("Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets"). Show time is 8 PM. The reading will include music by Rachel Peters adapted from the Harvard Song Book.

Inspired by true events, Veritas, according to press notes, is about "a group of young men at Harvard in 1920 whose promising futures fell prey to the Harvard Secret Court: a furtive gay witch-hunt conducted by the president and deans of the school to expurgate Harvard of all homosexuality."

The play will be fully produced as part of the 2010 New York International Fringe Festival in August.

Profits from the reading benefit Lambda Legal, the nation's oldest and largest legal organization working for the civil rights of lesbians, gay men and people with HIV/AIDS.
