Members of the Broadway community are gathering at 4 PM to perform the Kander and Ebb classic "New York, New York" on the traffic island in the north end of Times Square (where the TKTS booth stands).

Broderick, Fierstein, Grey, Neuwirth and Shields reprise their performance of "New York, New York," which they performed ten years prior in the days after the 9/11 tragedy. 

Also scheduled to appear are Nick Adams, Kara DioGuardi, Josh Gad, Montego Glover, Nikki James, Chad Kimball, Darlene Love, Rory O’malley, Brad Oscar, Hunter Parrish, Andrew Rannells, Roger Rees, Tony Sheldon and Ben Vereen.

The event also includes NYPD Officer Daniel Rodriguez, who is scheduled to sing "God Bless America." Denis Jones directs and choreographs the special tribute that has musical direction by Phil Reno.

Also scheduled to speak are Broadway League chairman Paul Libin, Times Square Alliance chairman Bob Wankel and My Good Deed, Inc. founders David Paine and Jay Winuk.

Inspired by and in support of the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance, The Broadway League produces the concert with the Times Square Alliance and Theatre Development Fund. Visit 911day.org.

"We will never forget the tragic loss of so many lives, including firefighters and police officers trying to save lives. Our hearts remain with all of their families. The Broadway community unites in its solidarity and the optimism of looking forward. Ten years ago Broadway united with the city to communicate that the shows must go on, just as life must; and now Broadway is banding together again to inspire participation in charitable projects in honor of those lost."
