Tony Award-winning Producers star Matthew Broderick has signed on to star in the upcoming Netflix series Daybreak, Deadline reports.
The series is based on the Brian Ralph graphic novel of the same name about a 17-year-old high schooler searching for his girlfriend in a post-apocalyptic world. Broderick will play principal Burr. Daybreak was created co-created by Aron Eli Coliete.
Broderick is also set to guest star on The Conners (the latest Roseanne reboot), playing opposite Tony winner Laurie Metcalf. He’ll play Peter, a potential love interest for Jackie, who appears in the October 30 Halloween episode “There Won’t Be Blood.”
