News Matthew Morrison's Debut Solo Recording Lands at #24 on Billboard Chart "Glee" and Broadway star Matthew Morrison released his debut self-titled album May 10; the new disc landed in the number 24 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, according to the LA Times.

The recording has sold 16,000 copies since its release. As previously reported, Morrison will join the upcoming New Kids On The Block/Backstreet Boys tour beginning July 6; his solo tour has been postponed.

On the Fox series "Glee," Morrison plays high school show-choir director and Spanish teacher Will Schuester. The actor received a Tony nomination in 2005 for his work in The Light in the Piazza and also appeared on Broadway in South Pacific, Hairspray, A Naked Girl on the Appian Way, The Rocky Horror Show and Footloose.
