News Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopit's Phantom to Play Pittsburgh CLO Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopit's Phantom will play the Pittsburgh CLO beginning June 21 for a run through June 30.

Directed by Barry Ivan with music direction by Tom Helm, the cast will feature Ron Bohmer (A Little Night Music, Ragtime, The Woman in White, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Fiddler on the Roof and Les Misérables) as the Phantom; his love interest Christine will be played by Erin Mackey (Anything Goes, Chaplin, Sondheim on Sondheim, Wicked), and Jean-Claude will be played by Peter Matthew Smith (Cry-Baby, Fiddler on the Roof, Hairspray, Mamma Mia! and Rent). The cast also includes Donna Lynne Champlin (Billy Elliot, Sweeney Todd) as La Carlotta, Jeff Howell (The Sound of Music, Sunset Boulevard) as Inspector LeDoux and Ken Land (Promises, Promises; The Scarlet Pimpernel) as Alaine Cholet. Bryant Martin (Oklahoma!, 1776) will play Count Phillipe de Chandon, Paul Palmer (Seven Brides for Seven Brothers) will play Minister of Culture, and Jamie Ross (Beauty and the Beast, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife) will play Gerard Carriére.

"Based on Gaston Leroux’s timeless love story, Phantom delves into the star-crossed story of the disfigured musical genius known as the Phantom Erik, and his muse, Christine Daaé, the exciting and beautiful ingénue of the Paris Opera," press notes state. "Their musical affair unfolds deep in the catacombs of the Opera house, where Erik finds salvation in Christine's breathtaking voice."
