News Mazzie Replaces Ripley in Showstoppers Concerts, May 16-18 Marin Mazzie replaces the previously announced Alice Ripley for the weekend of Broadway Showstoppers concerts at the Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts Center, May 16-18.

Because Ripley is currently starring in the Broadway-bound production of Little Shop of Horrors at the Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables, Florida, Mazzie will join husband Jason Danieley, Liz Callaway and William Michals for the Showstoppers concerts at the Philadelphia theatre. Concerts are scheduled for May 16 (8 PM), May 17 (2 PM) and May 18 (3 PM), and concertgoers can expect to hear songs by the Gershwins and Andrew Lloyd Webber, including tunes from such musicals as The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Strike Up the Band and Evita. A three-time Tony Award nominee for her performances in Kiss Me, Kate; Ragtime; and Passion, Marin Mazzie's other theatrical credits include Into the Woods, Big River, The World Goes 'Round, the City Center Encores! production of Out of this World and Off Broadway's The Trojan Women: A love Story, where she met husband Danieley. Mazzie also starred in the London production of Kiss Me, Kate, where she earned an Olivier Award nomination for her work.

Tickets for the "Broadway Showstoppers" concerts range from $19 to $80 and may be purchased by calling (215) 546-6400.
