Like mother, like daughter. Andrea McArdle's daughter, Alexis Kalehoff, continues a family tradition of Broadway Babies -- she makes her Broadway debut in Les Miserables on Monday, August 19. Alexis, whose father is composer Ed Kalehoff, will take on the role of Young Cosette. Her mother, Andrea McArdle, who gained fame as Broadway's original Annie, and who was last seen starring in the Broadway musical State Fair, has previously portrayed the role of Fantine in the popular musical making it the first time ever that a real life mother and daughter has portrayed the respective roles.

It seems that little Alexis is diligently following in her mother's footsteps, she can be heard on her mom's album "Andrea McArdle on Broadway" as well, she will be seen in the PBS special of the making of that album in November.
